My 2015 Winter Classic story

Today I went to the NHL Winter Classic in Washington, DC. The Winter Classic is an outdoor hockey game held annually on New Year's Day, and this time Washington was hosting it. My Washington Capitals were playing the Chicago Blackhawks at the baseball stadium Nationals Park. The Capitals previously won the 2011 Classic against the Penguins in Pittsburgh and I went to that one too. But unlike that game, where I spent two nights in Pittsburgh, this was just a day trip to Washington. The Capitals won 3-2 and there was plenty of action on the way there.
