Did I end up in the Southern Hemisphere?!

Today was the first day of winter in the northern hemisphere, and the first day of summer in the southern hemisphere. I live in the northern hemisphere. But we're supposed to have record temperatures and maybe even severe weather in the next couple of days here. It's supposed to get up into the 70s tomorrow, three days before Christmas. So it might as well be the first full day of summer tomorrow!
